The Annual reliability and power quality report (PDF 130kb) documents the reliability and power quality information required as part of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Industry (Network Quality and Reliability of Supply) Code 2005 - for the financial year ending 30 June 2006.
Western Power records the reliability of its network in major substation supply areas called 'load areas'.
The following links to maps of the Metro and Country areas show the availability of power supplies over a 12 month period as an average percentage for customers within that load area.
It displays the average percentage of time that customers supplied by the electrical network in the highlighted area, have power/electricity available to them.
For example if a figure reads 99.7% - it means that power in those areas is available 99.7% of the time.
To see what we are doing to improve the reliability of the network and for details on our network planning, go to the improvements section of this website.
