The South East Regional Centre for Urban Landscaping (SERCUL) is working with Western Power to manage the planting and screening program. The program includes screening with hard structures and soft-screening trees and shrubs.
The planting and screening work is ongoing and the timeframe for completion will depend on factors such as seasonal rainfall.
To prevent unlawful access by motorcyclists to Western Power’s land between the substation and the freeway, a fence has been erected in front of 98 Parkway Road.

Western Power liaised with the City of Cockburn in regards to tidying up the southern end of Dowell Place. Gates and fencing have been installed to prevent the illegal entry of motorcyclists onto Western Power land. The City of Cockburn has also agreed to install two extra bike barriers and bollards at the southern end of the laneway, which runs behind houses in Dowell Place to prevent motorcyclists from using the laneway as a thoroughfare.
