Primary producers

You are eligible to apply for a new connection as a primary producer only if you are recognised as a primary producer by the Australian Taxation Office.

We recommend you contact an electrical contractor to determine your electricity needs. They will fill out a Design and quotation application on your behalf.

We cannot guarantee that three-phase power will be available to your site, especially in rural or more remote regions.

Once the connection has been established you will need to set up an account with an electricity retailer.

WA electrical requirement standard supply

Western Power defines standard supply at 240 V single-phase or 440 V three-phase as:

63 Amps single-phase (urban areas)
32 Amps single-phase (rural areas and towns)
32 Amps multi-phase
a maximum consumer mains size of 35mm²
