Developers, consultants or designers may apply for information to help them carry out a preliminary feasibility study of a future subdivision (greater than 4 lots). Applicants can elect for a brief assessment (feasibility enquiry) or a more in-depth assessment (feasibility study) of the power infrastructure requirements. Western Power's response will be in regard to the high voltage distribution capacity, but will not cover the internal reticulation requirements of the proposed development. If more information is required, an application for a Design Information Package ("DIP") should be lodged. Similarly, applicants will need to complete a Distribution Quotation Application ("DQA") to obtain information in regard to block loads - this includes developments of 4 lots or less.
